This program constitutes the bulk of the work of the Julien Project and consists of two distinct initiatives: the adult initiative, and the youth and children initiative.
Adult initiative: |
This involves long-term, tailored, accessible horticultural activities for people of different backgrounds and abilities. Examples of the therapeutic gardening activities that we undertake include things such as planting herb barrels, harvesting flowers and drying them, harvesting herbs for various herbal teas, and many other creative and artistic gardening-related activities. Children and Youth Initiative: |

For youth, we have a strong focus on practical skill development including horticulture and vegetable growing skills. Youth programming occurs in the community garden area. The children’s activities take place in the courtyard and are designed to give children an opportunity to enjoy being outdoors in the beautiful courtyard while learning about the natural world and gaining gardening skills through group activities.
